The application's File menu (leftmost ribbon button). Contains commands for the project lifecycle: creating, opening, saving, backing up, recovering, and closing projects.
File Operations
New
Tooltip: Create a new project
Create a new VRGS project (.vgpx) file
Open
Tooltip: Open a project
Open an existing VRGS project (.vgpx, or a .vgp from VRGS 3.3 and earlier)
Save
Tooltip: Save the project
Save the current project to its existing file
Save As
Tooltip: Save project to a new location
Save a copy of the current project to a new file and folder
Backup DB and VGP
Tooltip: Backup the project
Create a dated backup of the project database and project file
Export interpretations to GeoJSON
Tooltip: Export all interpretations to GeoJSON
Write every interpretation object to a GeoJSON feature collection — see GeoJSON Project Export
Import interpretations from GeoJSON

Recover a project

Clear Recent Files

Cleanup Database
Tooltip: Clean up the database
Remove orphaned mesh files from the project to reclaim disk space
Close
Tooltip: Close the project
Close the active project, prompting to save unsaved changes
