Wrap-up

Your first VRGS project

Your VRGS project should be set up and ready to go, with some nifty interpretations and helpful data visualisations. You have created a project, imported a 3D model, annotated and measured it, digitised structural and sedimentological interpretations, and generated attributes from the model surface.

Where to go next

Go deeper on interpretation

  • Basic Interpretation — the full reference for every digitising mode and editing tool.
  • Measuring — which measurement tool answers which question.
  • Sedimentary Logging — building measured sections against the outcrop.
  • Stereonets — plotting and analysing the orientations you have collected.

Stuck? Ask Athos

The Athos assistant panel is built into VRGS and answers questions about the software from this documentation, as well as questions about the project you have open. Asking Athos well has some tips on getting good answers out of it.

Advanced interpretation and analysis tutorials will be updated periodically — stay tuned!
