Flight Path

Right-click commands for Flight Path in the Interpretation Tree.

Source resources: IDR_IT_FLIGHTPATH.

A flight path holds three sub-branches — Viewpoints (the keyframes), Scenes (visibility snapshots) and Slides (the presentation deck). Its narration does not appear in the tree: audio clips live on the Flight Path Timeline panel, which opens automatically when a flight path is active. See the Flight Path User Guide.

Item Context Menu

Right-click an individual flight path in the Interpretation Tree.

Actions

  • Make Active — Make this the active flight path, so the Flight Path ribbon tab and the timeline panel act on it. (ID_PCLPOPUP_MAKEACTIVE)
  • Copy — Copy the selection and put it on the Clipboard (ID_EDIT_COPY)
  • Set Frame Count — Set the frame count on every segment of the path. (ID_FLIGHTPATH_SETFRAMECOUNT)
  • Set Duration — Scale the whole path to a target total duration in seconds, at the project frame rate. (ID_FLIGHTPATH_SETDURATION)
  • Scale Duration — Multiply every segment's frame count by a factor, to speed the whole path up or slow it down. (ID_FLIGHTPATHVP_SCALEDURATION)
  • Delete — Delete this flight path from the project. (ID_POPUP_ITEM_DELETE)
  • Export — Write the path's viewpoints to a CSV file (Name, X, Y, Z, Yaw, Pitch, Roll, Near, Far, Frames — positions in project units, orientations in radians). (ID_PROJEXP_EXPORT)
  • Rename — Rename this flight path in the project tree. (ID_ITEM_RENAME)
note

Durations are computed at the project frame rate, so make sure it matches the frame rate you intend to record at before setting one.
